There are many questions that people have about Saab's bankruptcy and we've compiled answers from as many official sources to give you the most comprehensive information in one location. One of the biggest questions is if there are any good deals on Saab vehicles going on right now as a result of the bankruptcy and the answer is a resounding YES! You can view them here. You might notice that the vehicles are located in the Used Inventory section. This is because by law, you cannot sell a car as "new" without a warranty. That being said, the next most popular question is whether or not your Saab vehicle is covered under warranty. The short answer to this question is no. However, if you purchased your Saab from Jim Ellis Saab, Jimmy Ellis has provided his official statement here which essentially indicates;- Any Saab owner currently whose vehicle is covered under the manufacturer's warranty coverage that was the original purchaser from either Jim Ellis Saab of Atlanta or Jim Ellis Saab of Marietta.
- Any Saab owner currently whose vehicle is covered under the manufacturer's Certified Pre-Owned warranty that was purchased from either Jim Ellis Saab of Atlanta or Jim Ellis Saab of Marietta.
- For Saab owners that have a vehicle under the manufacturer's warranty and did NOT purchase their vehicle from either Jim Ellis Saab of Atlanta or Jim Ellis Saab of Marietta, Jim Ellis will perform the requested warranty repairs under the warranty reimbursement guidelines however, the client will be asked to pay for the repairs and submit for reimbursement to the bankruptcy courts.
Alternately, there are other less frequently asked questions and statements and we've brought them all together for you here.
